Wallet & KYC: documentation, verification timeline and the most common reasons withdrawals get held.
We walk through what counts as a valid KYC document, how long the review takes, and what to do when a withdrawal sits for over 24 hours.
What counts as a valid KYC document
Three document types are accepted across platforms.
- PAN card — mandatory on all five platforms. PAN must match the registered account holder's name exactly.
- Aadhaar — required for withdrawals over ₹10,000 in a single transaction. Aadhaar must be linked to the same mobile number you register with.
- Bank account proof — cancelled cheque or last three months' bank statement. The account holder's name must match your PAN.
Why withdrawals get held
Three common causes — and the fix.
Aadhaar–PAN name mismatch
The most common cause. The names on your PAN and your Aadhaar must match exactly, including initials and surname order. Fix: update one or the other through the relevant portal before triggering a withdrawal.
Bank-side verification pending
Most platforms do a single-penny verification on a new bank account. If the penny didn't land within 24 hours of registration, your withdrawal will queue behind a fresh verification.
KYC re-verification prompt
If your KYC document is more than a year old, platforms re-prompt for fresh verification the next time you withdraw. Open the app and check for a banner.
