Editorial Standards: our full methodology document — how we pick captains, verify tips and label sponsored content.
The methodology document behind every captain pick, fantasy tip and welcome-bonus story on this site. We publish it openly so readers can audit our coverage.
Five editorial fences
What we will and won't do.
- No paywall on editorial coverage. Every captain pick, every differential, every points-system read is open on this site.
- No affiliate links inside editorial copy. Sponsor placements live in a labelled footer block and on dedicated pages like Bonus Code.
- No undisclosed sponsored picks. A sponsored captain pick carries a label. Any pick that is not sponsored is not labelled, by definition.
- No silent rewriting of press releases. Where we cover a franchise press release, our story links to the release as a reference.
- No anonymous corrections. Every correction to a published story carries the editor's initials and the date.
How we fact-check
Three checks before any story publishes.
Stats against the official source
Run-scoring, wickets, captain picks and standings all cross-reference against the official IPL portal or the ICC match centre. We avoid stat scrapers that re-aggregate without citation.
Quotes against the recording
Player quotes are pulled directly from press-conference video or written transcripts. We don't paraphrase a quote into something stronger than the original.
Desk review
A second editor reviews every story before publication. Corrections travel through our contact inbox.
